The Academy of Creative Arts (ACA) is designed for students with a passion for the creative arts. Classes are offered in the performing arts curriculum areas of Dance, Drama, and Music. Students are taught by specialist dance, music and drama teachers, studying units of work that align to the Australian Curriculum but differ from those that students study in regular Years 7 – 10 Arts subjects. They are extended on the respective year level (band level) coursework and will engage in more cognitively demanding concepts.  Glenala State High School is excited to have a brand new, state of the art performance hall for our students to utilise for assessment, co-curricular activities and performance opportunities. Academy of Creative Arts students become valuable members of our co-curricular activities. These include Dance Troupe, Stage Band, Drama Club, Vocal Ensemble, Music Club, Media Club and Visual Arts Club. As part of the Academy of Creative Arts program, students will be enrolled in our instrumental music program each year.
