We are the first choice for secondary education for local families, and we welcome you to the Glenala SHS community.
All parents/caregivers of prospective Year 7 students are invited to complete an enrolment application. Please note we are an enrolment managed school. Please refer to our School Enrolment Management Plan and the catchment map for further information.
Glenala State High School's process for enrolment involves four simple steps. However, we recognise that not all families and students are the same, and sometimes you need some extra support. If your child has any of the following circumstances- - custody orders, specific learning needs, learning plans, parent/guardianship agreements or court orders, this process may not suit your needs and you will be required to have a one on one interview with a member of our Executive Staff after completing your application.
Step 1
Contact our administration office on 3877 4222 to schedule an appointment with our Enrolments Officer to complete an Enrolment Application.
Step 2
Parent/Guardian and child to attend the scheduled appointment, bringing along the following mandatory documents
- Birth Certificate, passport and/or visa documentation, proof of citizenship
- Most recent report cards
- Proof of residency within catchment e.g. lease agreement or rates notice
- Parental Guardianship/Custody, Court Orders or Living Arrangements, if applicable
Step 3
Once your application has been successfully completed and submitted, you will be required to attend one of our Principal School Talks. Attendance to one of these session is a pre-requisite to progress your child's enrolment application. Each session will end with an optional tour of our school grounds for interested parents. Please see dates and times below. You will be able to select a time to attend when completing your application.

Step 4
Your application will be processed after your attendance to our Principal Enrolment Session. You will receive confirmation from our Enrolment Officer if your enrolment has been accepted, at which time your child can look forward to meeting their fellow year 7's and new teacher at our Transition Day in Term 4.

Enrolling in Years 8-12
All parents/caregivers of prospective students for years 8 - 12 are invited to organise enrolment for your child.
Glenala State High School's process for enrolment starts with a compulsory interview. Please bring the following to this interview:
Copies of the most recent report card
NAPLAN reports
Birth Certificates
Any relevant passport and/or visa documentation
Court orders if applicable
Applicants will be notified if they have been successful or not with the enrolment application.
