Welcome to Glenala State High School

We are the first choice for secondary education for local families, and we welcome you to the Glenala SHS community.

All parents/caregivers of prospective Year 7 students are invited to complete an enrolment application.  Please note we are an enrolment managed school. Please refer to our School Enrolment Management Plan  and the catchment map for further information.

Glenala State High School's process for enrolment involves four simple steps.  However, we recognise that not all families and students are the same, and sometimes you need some extra support.  If your child has any of the following circumstances- - custody orders, specific learning needs, learning plans, parent/guardianship agreements or court orders, this process may not suit your needs and you will be required to have a one on one interview with a member of our Executive Staff after completing your application.

Step 1

Contact our administration office on 3877 4222 to schedule an appointment with our Enrolments Officer to complete an Enrolment Application.

Step 2

Parent/Guardian and child to attend the scheduled appointment, bringing along the following mandatory documents

  • Birth Certificate, passport and/or visa documentation, proof of citizenship
  • Most recent report cards
  • Proof of residency within catchment e.g. lease agreement or rates notice
  • Parental Guardianship/Custody, Court Orders or Living Arrangements, if applicable

Step 3

Once your application has been successfully completed and submitted, you will be required to attend one of our Principal School Talks.  Attendance to one of these session is a pre-requisite to progress your child's enrolment application.   Each session will end with an optional  tour of our school grounds for interested parents.  You will be able to select a time to attend when completing your application.

2024 Principal School Talk and Tour Dates

We are pleased to announce our first Principal School Talk and Tour Dates for 2024.  We would like to extend the invitation to these first two sessions to any parents and students who would like to attend and learn more about our school, an enrolment interview is not required..  Please continue to check our website, Facebook and Instagram for future session dates.
